I’ve always never really paid much attention to BOYY bags, or even the label, until recently. Perhaps you might recognise the oversized buckles on the bags, which, have become part and parcel of the brand’s signature. Initially, I felt the bags didn’t actually tickle my fancy because the huge buckles reminded me too much of the buckles on pilgrim-styled shoes. Coupled with the top handle, I always felt that they were a tad too mature for my liking. But, slowly but surely, I kept seeing the suede versions of the Devon bag in unique colours combined into a colour-block styled bag, and I began to warm up to them very quickly. So quickly, in fact, that I find myself contemplating whether to get one for myself or not, especially in this colourway, which is part of BOYY’s Autumn/Winter 18 offering.
The Devon comes in 2 sizes: 25cm and 21cm (called the Devon 21). The bags come with an adjustable and detachable shoulder strap which is the norm these days, but with another additional top handle as well and because of this, I loved it even more. Now, this probably doesn’t come as a surprise to you, especially for those of you who’ve been a reader of this site for some time now, as you would know that one of my fashion pet peeves that puts me off a bag completely, is when the bag’s handle isn’t collapsible, especially for those that convert into a crossbody bag. For me, this is certainly one bag that ticks all the boxes! Oh, and at US$1,100 and $950 for the larger, and smaller respectively, they’re quite reasonably priced too!
