Wondros Welcomes Cinematic Visual Storyteller Director Jeff Yeats to its Expanding Roster of Talent

Led by Wondros’ new Executive Producer of Commercials Sophie Gold, the production company is expanding its diverse roster of talent with the signing of Director Jeff Yeats. Director Jeff Yeats is a multi-disciplinary Director and visual storyteller. When he's not making movies, he's taking photos. Many of these photos have graced various publications such as “UGLY,” “Revolv,” and “Estero Magazine.” Kodak also employs Jeff’s delicate imagery to promote its line of professional film. It's safe to say, he is happiest when behind a camera. This hands-on approach has helped hone his ability to spot candid moments that usually go unseen. Utilizing a naturalistic, and often impressionistic style, his films employ lush imagery in order to evoke strong emotions in the viewer. Jeff was previously represented by Tool of North America.

“Wondros is extremely dedicated to building the careers of their Directors,” comments Yeats. “I couldn’t ask for a better champion and collaborator than Sophie. I am thrilled to join their roster and begin this next phase of my career.”

Yeats has directed projects for clients such as Ford, Chevrolet, Acura, NBC Universal, HP, and others.

“We're thrilled to have Jeff join the Wondros family,” concludes Wondros’ Gold. ''His work makes you feel something; it has a purity that is not often seen. He is gifted in every sense of the word, a talented cinematic visual storyteller.”

About Wondros:
Wondros believes in inspiring a world where anything is possible.

NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks launch “Built to Stay” Marketing Campaign

In advance of single-game tickets going on sale Wednesday, the Bucks today unveiled a new marketing campaign: Built to Stay. While the Bucks previous campaign, “Own the Future,” was about reconnecting the team with the community and creating hope for the future, “Built to Stay” is about bringing those promises to life on the court and in the community. With global superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, new head coach Mike Budenholzer, postseason appearances in three of the last four seasons and a new world-class arena to call home, the Bucks are Built to Stay. The widespread campaign, developed with Milwaukee-based agency Laughlin Constable, will be featured on TV, digital, radio and outdoor starting today.

Due to record season-ticket sales for the Bucks 2018-19 season, there will be limited single-game tickets for many games. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets now to avoid being shut out by waiting to purchase tickets closer to the date of the game. Fans can also register now for an exclusive presale to purchase single-game tickets ahead of the general public by visiting www.bucks.com/single.

Key home games to note for the Bucks this season include the first-ever game at Fiserv Forum against the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 19, a matchup against the two-time defending NBA-champion Golden State Warriors on Dec. 7, the lone visit to Milwaukee by the Boston Celtics on Feb. 21, a St. Patrick’s Day matinee vs. the Philadelphia 76ers on March 17, a visit from LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on March 19 and a matchup against reigning MVP James Harden and the Houston Rockets on March 26.

Fans can secure tickets to all 41 regular season home games at Fiserv Forum this season through the purchase of a full-season ticket membership. For more information on all of the benefits to being a Bucks season ticket member, or to purchase, visit www.bucks.com/full.

#UnBoringTheFuture with Peugeot and BETC

Peugeot unveils its new vision #UnboringTheFuture with a global film featuring epic concept car.

The future of cars is looking increasingly autonomous – cars where technology takes care of everything, even the driving. Practical for sure, but many people still enjoy being in control of the wheel. So why choose?
Today, Peugeot presents its new vision #UnboringTheFuture.
A future that reinvents the pleasure of driving and offers the freedom of choosing how to cruise and turns each journey into a unique experience.
The first proof of this vison is Peugeot’s new concept car PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT. 100% electric, the car offers 4 different modes of driving, autonomous as well as manual. This concept car is real, tangible and free of all constraints.

To launch the PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT, BETC Paris created a 60s film, directed by Elias Ressegatti and produced by CREAM. The energetic film is fast-paced and rhythmic and shows the driver enjoy the different features of the car as she rides through the night to the tunes of KCPK’s “Who wants it”.
A long version of the film is launched for the Paris Motor Show, accompanied by a global TV and social media launch from the 27/09.

New Campaign around Verizon’s New 5G from the community

Here is the latest Verizon campaign, developed in partnership with cross-cultural creative agency the community, ahead of the launch of its new 5G Ultra-Wideband.

“Firsts” celebrates the brand’s legacy as an industry leader as the brand prepares to unveil Verizon 5G, yet again proving its position at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution.

Featuring footage from 1983, “First Call” shows the first commercial wireless phone call in Chicago as Verizon engineer John Foley shares his memories from that day.

The second spot, "First to CDMA,” includes a 1989 video of Los Angeles-based Verizon engineers testing CDMA technology, which allows users to make calls on the move without losing signal. While the first two spots draw on the past, the third and final one looks toward the future.

“First to 5G” unpacks the different “firsts” the brand’s engineers completed in order to create the first and only 5G Ultra-Wideband – a development that, ultimately, will change how people learn, work, and live.

All three spots will run across broadcast TV and online video. Please see below for a full list of team credits and let me know if you would like to cover this campaign.

Director Nick Wickham Celebrates Release Of “Norah Jones – Live At Ronnie Scotts”

Renowned Director Nick Wickham, internationally revered for Concert Films, Music Documentary, Live to Cinema Theatre and Live Events, celebrates the release of “Norah Jones – Live At Ronnie Scotts” on DVD/Blu-Ray this summer. The special was also an official selection at the Vienna Film Festival screening in July. Wickham directed the special event with Jones playing an exclusive sold-out show at the world-famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.
“Norah Jones - Live At Ronnie Scott’s” (Extended Trailer):

With a background at MTV and his own company, Splinter Films, Wickham’s work has taken him around the world, collaborating with a huge range of artists in music, theatre and live events including Madonna, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katy Perry and Metallica. A recent music documentary feature film with Chinese/Hong Kong superstar G.E.M. was released in cinemas across China and South East Asia.

The wonderfully intimate live performance film sees Jones return to the piano, accompanied on stage by drummer Brian Blade and bassist Chris Thomas to form a classic jazz trio. The group play tracks from Jones’ sixth solo album Day Breaks and a selection of hits from her extensive catalogue including the hit singles, “Carry On,” “Flipside” and “Don’t Know Why.”

Wickham also directed the high-octane “Jaguar E-Pace: Guinness World Records™ Barrel Roll,” a riveting documentation of the world-record achieved by Jaguar for an extreme, and successful, attempt at a barrel roll, a feat difficult to achieve by most vehicles.

Wickham continues his streak in 2018, directing special performances by “The Last Poets” in the former residence of Haile Selassie, along with “The Cure” in London’s Royal Festival Hall and a new Live Music series slated for this fall.

Kia Teams with Red Bull and Pro Driver Collete Davis for 2019 Forte Campaign

Stung with styling cues from the award-winning Stinger, the all-new 2019 Kia Forte is now arriving in showrooms and Kia Motors America is pulling out all the stops to introduce the world to its most sophisticated compact car ever. Professional race car driver, Collete Davis, stars in a high-flying marketing campaign showing off the Forte’s sporty design, advanced technology and Stinger-inspired driving dynamics in a way the compact class has never seen before.
The campaign includes three, 30-second spots: “Forte vs. Forte”, “Chicken” and “Smoke Machine”. The first spot – “Forte vs. Forte” – features a Forte drift car alongside the production model Forte driven by Davis, one of the most promising and dynamic drivers on the racing circuit today. As Collete speeds down the track she calmly points out the standard 8-inch touchscreen as she takes the production model Forte airborne and sails high above and over the drift car Forte. The spot ends when Davis nails the landing as the announcer says matter-of-factly, “It Doesn’t Have to Make Sense.”

“Kia continues to shock the industry and break the rules and the all-new 2019 Forte is no exception,” said Saad Chehab, vice president of marketing communications, Kia Motors America. “This adrenaline-filled campaign featuring a baby Stinger in a Red Bull suit screams ‘look at me’ even though some may question the idea of a Forte in racing livery, we are delivering an entirely new take on what many people see as simply a daily commuter car. And then again, some are still surprised to learn that Kia has been J.D. Power’s highest ranked non-luxury brand in initial quality for the past four years, but to us and our loyal consumers all of it makes complete sense.”
Kia and Red Bull collaborated on the Forte drift car and are developing a three-part YouTube series hosted by Davis and featuring the Red Bull Driftbrothers, Joe and Elias Hountondji. The series documents the vehicle build from start to finish, including on-track testing. “Kia is fueled by youth and working with Red Bull is a mirror reflection of our youthful attitude and together we are going to showcase the new Forte in never-before-seen ways that are sure to capture attention,” continued Chehab.
Featuring a more sophisticated design and desirable features the 2019 Forte has transformed from a basic commuter into one of Kia’s best-selling vehicles. Thanks to a number of improvements Forte now offers drivers a higher level of comfort and Kia Drive Wise technologies that are aimed at making the journey – whether a short commute or long haul – a more rewarding and decidedly upscale experience. Sporting an overall bolder appearance, the newly designed compact sedan also boasts improved EPA-estimated combined MPG ratings.
There’s also a long-form video – which was shot in one take and captured by seven strategically placed cameras – chronicling Davis’ jump from both in- and outside the Forte.
“As a professional race car driver, I love to drive all types of models and this spot, with the juxtaposition between daily driving and performance was just too fun to pass up,” said Davis. “When you have a passion for driving, even the most mundane errands, the longest commutes or the biggest traffic jams become easier and the all-new 2019 Forte is the vehicle that makes all the difference in those situations.”
