#FENDIMANIA: The Capsule Collection For Men, Women, and Children

While many of us (myself included!) first thought that FENDI collaborated with Italian sportswear brand Fila when we first saw them on the Fall/Winter 18 runway in February, it actually isn’t. Just like artist Tom Sachs who created branded luxury fast food packaging and power tools as a social commentary on our highly consumeristic world in which we live, the artist Reilly, also has a series of artworks entitled Fake News where he reappropriates logos from 2 different brands, and creates a sort of “mashup”, for parodic effect. The result? The #FENDIMANIA Capsule Collection featuring the iconic FF logo, alongside a variant of the House’s logo was Fila-fied, @hey_reilly, in two colour combinations: red with blue, and yellow with white.

The collection is quite an extensive one, comprising ready-to-wear items such as outerwear, swimwear, skirts, as well as shoes, SLGs, bags, and even a unisex 40mm timepiece, the Momento Fendi ManiaBags-wise, there is a crocodile tote, and a new DeFender waterproof bag covers (i.e. bag raincoats) specifically designed to fit your precious #FENDIMANIA editions of the Peekaboo, Kan I and Mon Trésor bags.
