Nothing says summer quite like straw, rattan, and raffia, and Gucci‘s Towards Summer collection delivers just that. Say hello to the GG Marmont 2.0, Ophidia, Sylvie, and Rajah collections with a more relaxed, easy-breezy summery vibe. These aforementioned bags still bear the distinctive look of their originals, including the Double G on both the Ophidia and Marmont 2.0, the tiger’s head for the Rajah along with the Web stripe, and the chain detail with buckle clasp on the Sylvie. The only difference? Well, that’s the materials they come in.
The Towards Summer edition of the Sylvie is made of a combination of straw matt wicker body, with either a leather or croco flap and top handle, with a detachable shoulder strap for crossbody wear, while the GG Marmont 2.0 is less structured this season, which come in a viscose raffia shoulder bag, or crochet raffia with a floral pattern. Rajah, on the other hand, is more extensive, is available in either a shoulder tote, backpack, duffel, camera case, belt bag, half-moon shaped shoulder bag, belted smartphone case, and two pouches.
But, if you want something even more exclusive, then opt for the online-only selections of the bag collection’s key pieces, restyled with special green python trim, as well as hats, a sun visor, an espadrille, slip-on occasions, and pool slides, all of which, are in the straw matt fabric.
To go with the relaxed vibe, all the bags from the Towards Summer collection come lined either with rose-print viscose, plain viscose, leather tone-on-tone and natural cotton-linen on offer.
