Since the dawn of Tinder, it seems online dating is definitely here to stay. But what if you want a connection deeper than just swiping right to every person you think is fit? That’s where Sizzl comes in…
The design for the app was made by Oscar Mayer, a US meat company – so this does suspiciously seem like some sort of cheeky marketing strategy. However it’s all a bit of fun: and who doesn’t like bacon?
The free app’s tagline is very fitting: ‘the only dating app exclusively for bacon lovers… Because why should you settle for someone who doesn’t love bacon?’ with the added description stating: ‘If you get hot thinking about how many hours your bacon’s been cured and naturally smoked, download Sizzl to connect with thousands of lovers who share your discriminating taste in the world’s loveliest meat.’ Is that swoon worthy or is that swoon worthy?
The important question the app asks is how you take your bacon, which is the key matching technique here. You then rate them on the Sizzl meter (wow…) and if all goes to plan and your bacon preferences match, you can exchange details.
Well then, if that doesn’t roast your pork chops (I had to) then I don’t know what will.
