The Pernod Ricard Funded Brand Our/Vodka Releases Documentary Series


Our/Vodka, a global family of local vodkas, made in cites around the world, is releasing a documentary
series. The 8 episode documentary follows Dave Ortiz, the Our/Vodka NY partner, as he travels the
world to meet his vodka family, gets to know their cities, and learns what it takes to run an Our/Vodka
distillery. Soon Dave and his partner Kevin Carney will open Our/New York, the first distillery on
Manhattan since Prohibition.

The series, titled “The Vodka Family”, is divided into eight 20-minute episodes that feature the local
Our/Vodka partners in Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Detroit, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, New York and
their cities. The viewers will follow Dave Ortiz on his journey to open the Our/New York distillery, the first
distillery in Manhattan since Prohibition. The viewers will also learn the story of how Pernod Ricard, one
of the world’s largest spirits companies, decided to fund an intrapreneurial idea that later became the
Our/Vodka family.

“Our/Vodka is a complex brand. Every city and distillery partner has its own story and personality. The
only thing that binds them together is the vodka and the family, but that is also what makes the brand so
unique.” says Kalle Soderquist, Co-founder & Creative Director of Our/Vodka.

Each episode features a specific city, where Dave will learn both the joy and the challenges each local
partner has experienced in opening and running their distillery. The footage has been filmed over the
years of building the Pernod Ricard funded company and it was not until a year ago that it was decided to
make it a documentary.

“Through a longer format, such as a documentary series, we are able to follow, highlight and get to know
the distillery partners and their cities. Our brand doesn’t have just one story, we have eight” says Kalle
Soderquist.
