Audemars Piguet‘s latest timepiece has roots dating back to 1982, when the very first hand-wound Philosophique, with its unique single hour hand feature, was introduced. Combining this with the Millenary’s signature elliptical shaped case and unconventional dials launched in 1995, which became a women’s collection since 2015, is the new Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique.
Powered by the new self-winding calibre 3140, the 39.5mm Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique comes with a hammered and satin-finished case in either 18-carat pink or white gold, anti-glare sapphire crystal caseback, and crown set with a blue sapphire cabochon, on a brown, or blue hammered-like dial, and finished with an alligator strap. The overall effect is one that is super sparkly, that, from afar, looks as if it’s covered in diamonds, thanks to the manufacture’s expertise in micro-hammering.
At Audemars Piguet, we have always charted our own course, following our firm convictions and starting our independent trends, even during times of crisis. We continue today with our new Millenary Philosophique. This watch takes a break from the rushing minutes of our world and invites you to set your own tempo. ~ François-Henry Bennahmais, CEO of Audemars Piguet ~
It’s no wonder that AP’s frosted gold timepieces are particularly highly sought after. But, unlike the other frosted gold watches, the Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique is still daytime and even work-appropriate, that’s not at all too OTT.
